<p><strong>The Alamo</strong> &#8211; The legend and myth of the Alamo is in fact the true story of Texas itself.  The mission was founded in 1718, and became the location where 189 Texians and Tejanos fought to oppose the Santa Anna&#8217;s military and became a legend that continues to grow as it captures the imagination of people across America.</p>
<p><strong>La Villita</strong> &#8211; San Antonio&#8217;s oldest neighborhood founded over three-hundred years ago, is today a bustling community of artisans and craftsmen. Also featuring a variety of restaurants and shops, La Villita continues to be a vital part of San Antonio&#8217;s history and future.</p>
<p><strong>Rivercenter Mall, Riverboat Rides and Imax Theater</strong> &#8211; The Rivercenter Mall features over 130 retail shops and restaurants. You can then ride a Riverboat along the River Walk on a lunch, dinner or cocktail cruise. <p><strong>Mission San Jose</strong> &#8211; Restored in the 1930&#8242;s by the Works Projects Administration and recognized as the &#8220;Queen of the Missions&#8221;, the Mission San Jose is the largest of all the missions and a great sightseeing experience.</p>
<p><strong>Mission Concepcion</strong> &#8211; The oldest unrestored stone church within the United States, a number of original frescos are still visible in many of the rooms.</p>
<p><strong>San Fernando Cathedral </strong>- Located in the center of San Antonio and founded in 1738, the Cathedral is one of the oldest Catholic parish church buildings in the America&#8217;s southwest. Texan hero James Bowie was married to Ursula de Veramendi in its sanctuary, and it was also used a lookout by Mexican General Santa Anna.</p>
