San Antonio…vacation…weather…SeaWorld?
We are supposed to be going to San Antonio tonight and to Sea World on Wednesday & Thursday.. The weather isn’t looking too good though. Does Sea World stay open in the rain? I was thinking they might because its water anyways, & maybe they close only for thunder & lightning. We have been planning our trip for a while & this is our first family vacation so I hate to cancel, but also don’t want to drive 4 hrs & spend all the money just to sit in a hotel. Any advice???

Sea world will stay open in the rain. Nearby lightening my cancel some shows. Rollercoaster may not run. Waterpark – probably not in lightening.
If the weather looks threatening – head to the penguin indoor encounter building.
You can get a “rain check” if “adversely affected by sever weather on the day of your visit”. Must be used by the end of the current season.
Try the riverwalk if you need an alternative.

Hey girl, Sea world will stay open,but the roller coasters will close , try Fiesta Texas if Sea World is closed, you can go to the river walk or maybe hit the mall,but don’t stay indoors, try the Alamo your kids will like it there,but have fun.

i think with tropical storm dolly approaching your risking it, there are many things to do there walk down the river, go to the mall, sea world will be open if it just a little rain but will close if it gets nasty, fiesta texas may remain open but im sure most coasters and rides will close. i guess head to the mall, watch an imax, look at the alamo, also you may be able to ride and go through the ripleys adventure rides downtown across from the alamo. or if you can see if you can change your travel date to next week.
we went there last week and i am already planning our next trip
