San Antonio Texas – Sea World and different activities with kids?

Question by fishingmstr: San Antonio Texas – Sea World and different activities with kids?
My family, which includes my 9 year old son, will be traveling to Sea World in San Antonio Texas in April. We have never been to Texas, so I was wondering if anyone could share any information with me. Any recommendations on hotels, if we should stay near the airport or near Sea World, not sure if they are nearby one another. What else is there to do in San Antonio besides Sea World? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

No trip to San Antonio is complete without a visit to the Alamo. Be sure to see the IMAX film about the Alamo beforehand, so you’ll know all about its history. From there you can walk down to the Riverwalk, where you’ll find tons of cool shops and restaurants. A boat ride down the river is lots of fun, too!

Have a fun trip!

    There’s,
    Sea World,
Six Flags, (i think it’s the best six flags)
The River Walk, which has a boat ride/tour,
    and of course The Alamo!!!

in my opinion to really get the feel of Texas espiacially if you’ve never been you should go to Dallas.

You would really enjoy Dave and Buster’s located at I-10 and Loop 410…..just west of the airport. It’s a huge arcade with several resturants, pool tables and all kinds of entertainment for kids and adults alike.
It’s right nest door to Target….which is part of a huge mall that even has more to do.
Then, if you go downtown….don’t forget to ride the riverboat. By the way, Sea World is only open on a limited basis during the winter.

go to BookMe. You can compare prices on all the major travel sites from one location. It’s the only way you can guarantee the best deals for the best hotels for your money online.

I grew up there. Nothing to do unless you hit the tourist spots downtown, Sea World or Six Flags. Stay near Sea World if you find amusement parks more interesting. Otherwise stay downtown where there’s nice bars and restaurants.

I personally don’t recommend the Alamo.
