Question by : Is there good shopping in San Antonio?
I am 16 and Travelling to America next year. My family is planning on going to San Antonio in Texas to visit family and I was just wondering if there is any good/discount shopping.

Best answer:

Answer by Donna from Texas
As one of the largest cities in the United States, San Antonio is loaded with shopping. The nicer malls are RiverCenter and North Star. There is a newish shopping center, The Shops at La Cantera, on the northwest side of town. The Forum and the Alamo Quarry Market are also good shopping centers. In fact, there are too many to list.

Out Interstate 35, north of San Antonio between New Braunfels and San Marcos, are two huge outlet malls, Prime and Tanger. They are side by side, and are wildly popular shopping destinations.

Enjoy your visit!

My friend and I will be travelling to San Antonio at the end of the year. What are somethings to do in or near the city other than the Alamo, Riverwalk, Zoo, and Sea World?

Best answer:

Answer by corvette
Well, there are 319 attractions within 10 miles of downtown….so the best thing to do is check in your hotel lobby where they have the brochure stand and pick from hundreds of things….what you like best. There is a visitors center across from the alamo that has free maps and recommendations and tons of brochures also. Believe me, there is plenty to do and see….even if you just stay downtown and walk it.
Enjoy your visit.

Question by : cheap n good hotel in san antonio?
I am looking for a good decent and cheap hotel in San Antonio?

Best answer:

Answer by dannn
That should be an easy one because San Antonio is a cheap city as Texas cities basically are cheap…

Here are some well known cheap chains of hotels:

Extended Stay America. If you’re staying for at least one month, call them up and ask them about their Long Term Lodging rates (which are not even found on their website for some reason.) Alternatively, LTL rates can be found on Apartments.com as available. You’d have to search for furnished apartments on apartments.com to see if any of this is available. Long term lodging with Extended Stay America is the same price as the average apartment in a given area.

http://www.ValuePlace.com – You can rent by the week at a rate similar to an apartment.

http://intownsuites.com – Same kind of thing only cheaper. Be careful their reputation is not great but don’t take my word for it see for yourself if you want…

I just used this site to book my recent Las Vegas trip:

http://www.hotelscombined.com/?a_aid=26451

– The site checks major hotel booking sites for deals so its an all in one kind of thing…

Question by Bear: What are some good places to go sight seeing in San Antonio, TX?
I am doing an assignment where I have to make a travel itinerary for a doctor I’m supposedly working for. This doctor is attending a convention in San Antonio that starts on May 29 and ends on June 2. The conference starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. each day, except for June 2, when it starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. He will be arriving from Sarasota, FL on May 28 at about 6 p.m. and leaving on June 2 at 4 p.m.

This doctor’s interests are:
-Sight seeing.
- Symphony and cultural events.
-Historical sites.

According to the instructions, he enjoys dinning at Italian restaurants and sushi bars, though he likes all types of food. I have everything besides this done. I just need to know some good places for him to go after he finishes with the conference.
